Judah Traylor is 11 years old — a brave, joyful and witty boy, deeply loved as one of three children in a family of five. After a long journey to answers and a major hip surgery in August 2025, doctors discovered a poorly differentiated Chordoma tumor growing in his femur — a diagnosis that is rare in itself, and even more rare in the way it is presenting. While surgery may still be part of his treatment plan, today Judah is headed to Emory University Hospital for a simiulation & more scans to receive proton radiation. He will also be receiving care through Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, where he is scheduled to begin two immunotherapies: nivolumab and ipilimumab. There is also a possibility he could require a hemi-pelvectomy surgery — something his family is fervently praying against, standing in faith for complete healing from Jesus. Vanessa and Hart Traylor, along with their entire family, are strong believers in Christ and are boldly standing on His promises. They are believing for healing over Judah’s body and wisdom over every medical decision. This page will be the central place for sharing updates, specific prayer requests, and next steps. The family asks friends and loved ones to use the Lend a Hand feature to raise a hand for prayer. Judah is being covered in prayer every day, and the Traylor family invites everyone to join in standing for his healing, strength, and peace. The financial demands are significant. Judah’s Blue Cross plan began on 2/1/26, and in just the first month, he met the $2,000 out-of-pocket maximum, with an overall $8,200 plan-year maximum. Surgery, if needed, could carry additional large deductibles. Beyond insurance costs, some of Judah’s recommended treatments are $150 per session, three times a week — totaling $450 weekly for the foreseeable future. The family also covered $4,000 for a holistic clinic over Thanksgiving, and continues to pursue a variety of immune supportive and integrative therapies, with out-of-pocket costs accumulating as part of his ongoing care. Frequent upcoming travel to Atlanta for appointments, hotels, transportation, and additional medical expenses adds to the financial weight. The Traylor’s also are trying to raise and additional $8,000 to allow Judah’s tumor biopsy to be tested in a specialty lab in Florida that is not covered by insurance to help figure out if there are any possible existing off label medications that can fight this rare often incurable cancer. To expand his care options, the family has also taken out an additional insurance policy at $500 per month for out-of-state needed treatment, and they are committing over $1,000 per month toward holistic care over the next six months. Thank you for surrounding Judah and the Traylor family with prayer, encouragement, and support in any way you feel led. "But I will restore you to health and heal your wounds," declares the Lord. — Jeremiah 30:17The family also wants everyone to know that should the Lord miraculously heal Judah, any donations not needed for Judah’s ongoing medical care will be donated to other children like Judah currently fighting rare pediatric cancers.
