In Support of Josephine

Hi, everyone! My name is Josephine (Joey). It has been seven years since I very suddenly lost my vision in my right eye. For the better part of those seven years, my eye has become progressively smaller.
I've adapted well to monocular vision, and thankfully, my blind eye hasn't caused too many problems for me. That all changed this past year; there has been a significant change in the size of the eye itself, and I am now experiencing pain, watering, and redness, that had largely been absent before.
After talking with my medical team, I have decided that it is finally time to remove the sick eye and (hopefully) be fitted with a realistic-looking prosthetic.

I work two part-time jobs to take care of myself, my dog, and my two cats, but I do not have job benefits and I do not have any Paid Time Off.
Due to the nature of the surgery, recovery, and my job duties, I will not be able to return to work for two weeks after my procedure.

I wish I would have asked for help when my eye issues started seven years ago. That might have helped me get the care I needed, which was so hard to find. It did not occur to me then to ask for help, but I am asking for it now.
Anything you can contribute to help cover my loss of income during my recovery will be greatly appreciated.
