Joseph’s Story — Joseph is a bright, determined 27-year-old who had been working in accounting when he began noticing strange symptoms that forced him to leave his job and focus on his health. On July 30th, Joseph suddenly collapsed and was rushed to Flagler Hospital, where a CAT scan revealed a large tumor on his pituitary gland. He was then emergently transferred to UF Shands Hospital in Gainesville, Florida, where he underwent four brain surgeries in an effort to save his life. He is currently still in ICU in Halifax Hospital, Daytona, Florida.
Now, Joseph urgently needs specialized rehabilitation at Brooks Rehab in Daytona, Florida—one of the only and best centers in the state. This next step is crucial for his recovery, to help him regain strength and function after losing his eyesight and enduring major neurological trauma. The cost of rehab is quite expensive, leaving Joseph and his family facing an estimated $6,000–$30,000 cost for a 30-day stay.
Joseph is fighting with everything he has, and his family—especially his mom, Geri, and stepdad Gene—are determined to fight alongside him. They refuse to let insurance delays stand in the way of the care he desperately needs.
All funds raised will go directly toward Joseph’s rehabilitation and recovery expenses. His family invites friends, loved ones, and anyone moved by his story to rally around him through prayers, support, and donations.
Please follow and support this page as Geri will be sharing updates on Joseph’s progress. Every prayer, share, and gift—no matter the size—helps Joseph move one step closer to healing and reclaiming his life.
