Hi, I’m Katie, and the little girl in the photo with me is my daughter, Jolene.
Jolene’s life began when I was neglected during an obstetric emergency that led to her being born without oxygen and needing resuscitation at birth. Because of this, she now lives with severe HIE, epilepsy, cerebral palsy, feeding difficulties, and other complex disabilities.
Life has not been easy for her, but Jolene is fierce, resilient, and continues to fight every single day.
Over the last year, I’ve stepped outside of traditional therapies and started pursuing alternative treatments that have helped her more than anything else we’ve tried. The heartbreaking part is that none of these treatments are covered by insurance, and the costs are overwhelmingly high for a regular family like ours.
But I truly believe Jolene deserves every opportunity possible to improve her quality of life, which these treatments will give her.
We are currently fundraising for:
• MUSE Cells, multiple rounds — $7,100 per treatment
• Cytotron Treatment — $35,000
• DMI Therapy, weekly — $165 a session
• Intensive Therapy, multiple rounds — $3,500 a session

Jolene has siblings and two parents who love her endlessly, and we are determined to give her the very best life possible. She was handed an incredibly unfair start in life, and I will continue doing everything in my power to help her access the treatments that could give her a brighter future.
