Back in March, Jessica was diagnosed with stage 1 Invasive Ductal Carcinoma. This is a more aggressive breast cancer so they are needing to act promptly. She feels the Lord alerted her to it during the night which points to His grace in her life. Many of you already know that Jessica is a sweet and faithful servant of the Lord and has a huge heart for others. This is our opportunity as her friends and family to be the hands and feet of Christ to her and Aaron in some real practical ways. Praying, sharing in the financial burden, bringing over meals, and other needs that may come up throughout this journey. As needs arise they will be posted on this page. Make sure you scroll to the bottom and click “Get Updates” to stay in the loop.
A message from Aaron:
After a great deal of research, medical consultation, prayer, and discernment, we’ve made the decision to move forward with chemotherapy, followed by surgery as needed. Alongside that, we are pursuing complementary integrative care to support Jessica’s body, mind, and spirit through treatment and recovery.
We believe this combined approach gives us the best chance not only of eliminating the cancer, but also of reducing the side effects of treatment and helping Jessica heal more fully and quickly.
Jessica will begin chemotherapy next Thursday, April 30th and will undergo treatment for approximately 12 weeks. We are also scheduled to meet with an integrative doctor to build a care plan that focuses on nutrition, recovery, and whole‑person health. This type of care, unfortunately, is often not fully covered by insurance.
While we don’t yet know the full scope of the out‑of‑pocket costs ahead, we do know that integrative doctoring, supportive therapies, and other non‑covered needs will add up quickly. This support page exists to help ease that burden so Jessica can focus her energy where it matters most: healing.
We are incredibly grateful for the love, prayers, and encouragement that have surrounded our family. It is amazing and humbling to see the body of Christ in action. We truly believe this is something that can be overcome through medical care, thoughtful lifestyle changes, the support of family and friends, and God’s sustaining grace.
If you feel led to support us in any way, whether through meals, practical help, financial support, or prayer, please know how deeply thankful we are. And if you have questions or words of encouragement for Jessica, she would love to hear from you.
