Welcome dear family, friends, and visitors:

We are the Hauglie Family! Consisting of Anton (dad), Jana (mom), Jeremiah (son) - and 2 white cats (Milo & Minnie). We wanted to share some important news about our family and some updates about our son.

Jeremiah was diagnosed with an ultra-rare genetic condition called Jordan's Syndrome (PPP2R5D-related neurodevelopmental disorder), which is characterized by mild-to-profound developmental delays and low muscle tone as well as a myriad of other life-long challenges. Currently, as a 1 year old, he cannot sit independently, stand, or walk like other children his age. We do not know what his capabilities are yet, but Jeremiah will need a lot of support/help to meet these milestones. Thankfully, Jeremiah is healthy, happy, and full of unwavering joy— he is so sweet, smiles, laughs, and squeals often. He lights up any room he enters. He thrives in the outdoors, enjoys meeting new people, and is naturally very social. We are so incredibly lucky and honored to be his parents.

For the first time, we are sharing Jeremiah’s story publicly. We are opening our hearts to welcome you into his journey and allowing the community to walk alongside us. Your support means you are becoming a part of Jeremiah’s "team" — celebrating victories, encouraging him through challenges, and helping him reach his full potential.

Therapy (PT/OT/SLT) has been essential and crucial to his growth. One of the biggest opportunities for Jeremiah’s development is intensive therapy (DMI - Dynamic Movement Intervention).  This specialized, hands-on therapy helps children (particularly with disabilities) build strength, coordination, and motor skills—opening doors to milestones like crawling, walking, talking, sitting, and more. Each two-week session costs approximately $4,600 and is not covered by insurance. For the best results, his therapists recommend returning every 6-8 weeks. Most children never have to go through this level of therapy just to learn to walk, talk, or climb a step—but we are determined to give Jeremiah every opportunity to succeed. With your help, he can access the therapy that will give him the best shot at these life-changing milestones.

Our family will be posting updates here, sharing both the progress and the little everyday moments that make this journey special. Every prayer, share, and donation brings Jeremiah one step closer to his goals.

Thank you for being part of Team Jeremiah. (sorry to the Team Conrad people)
