In Support of James McDaniel

James McDaniel
Our hearts are completely shattered as we share the sudden and tragic loss of our beloved James McDaniel. At 81 years old, James- loving husband, father, and grandfather—had his life senselessly cut short when he was struck by a stray bullet as an innocent bystander in a Walmart parking lot in Gainesville.

James was a proud U.S. Navy veteran who enlisted right after turning 18 and faithfully continued his service in the Navy reserves. Following his military service, he dedicated 23 years of hard work to the post office before retiring. Above all, James was a joyful person whose greatest happiness was simply being surrounded by the family he loved so dearly. He shared a decades-long love story with his wife, Gloria, building a wonderful family together with their four children.

Our family is now leaning on one another through an unimaginable wave of grief, shock, and heartbreak. We are organizing this fundraiser to help ease the financial burden of unexpected final expenses and to support our mother, Gloria, during this devastating transition.

If you are able to contribute or share our story, we are deeply grateful for your kindness, prayers, and support as we honor the memory of a wonderful man who gave so much to his country, his community, and our family.
