In Support of Inca Shaw and The Shaw Family

Greetings, Friends of Inca!

Over the last several weeks, many of you have asked how you can help Inca and the Shaw family while she's fighting Stage 4 cancer and receiving chemotherapy care. Inca is taking a partial leave of absence from work to focus on resting and prioritizing her health. As you can probably imagine, expenses are quickly adding up: expensive insurance copays are coming up as Inca’s nearly exhausted her annual coverage; additional support is necessary for Ivy, including an afternoon caregiver, Autism-certified tutor, and assistance getting her to routine therapy appointments; the twice-weekly trips to the Cancer Center an hour away are adding wear and tear on our vehicles–including needing a new electrical panel in Inca's car; and there are a host of things needed to keep the household and family functioning as close to normal as possible and items/services to keep Inca as comfortable as possible at home while receiving care.
