Hi family and friends!

The past few weeks in Washington have been really tough for my family. The state of emergency has affected us a lot. But for me and my five kids, it's been especially hard. We are struggling with daily life in ways we’d never imagined.

The storms and disruptions have left us without a car, steady access to food, and worst of all, no power in our home. Keeping my kids warm, fed, and safe without heat or lights is really hard. Every parent wants to keep their children safe, but right now, it's very difficult for me.

Also, we need basic things like batteries and small essentials to make life a little less stressful during the power outage. Not knowing when the power will return is really stressful. The hardest part isn't just right now—it’s the days and weeks after when we try to get back to normal.
