In Support of Pops ‘Bim’ Pancreatic Cancer

Our family is walking through a season we never imagined we would face.

Our Dad — lovingly known to all of us as “Pops” — has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Anyone who knows Pops knows he is strong, stubborn, hardworking, funny, and not exactly someone who loves asking for help. ❤️ But right now, life looks very different for him and for our Mom.

Because Pops is unable to work, the financial weight has become incredibly heavy. Between everyday household bills, medical expenses, healthcare costs, appointments, medications, and simply trying to keep life moving forward, our Mom is carrying more than anyone should have to carry while also loving and caring for her husband through cancer.

We created this page because so many wonderful people have asked, “What can we do?”

There are several ways to support them, but please know this from our hearts:

There is absolutely NO pressure to give financially.

More than anything, we are asking for PRAYERS. Pray for Pops. Pray for strength, comfort, healing, peace, good days, laughter, and moments where cancer isn’t the center of everything. Please pray for our Mom, too — for strength when she is exhausted, peace when she is overwhelmed, and reassurance that she isn’t carrying this alone.

For those who would like to help in other ways, we would love to organize a meal train/food support, restaurant or grocery gift cards, and other simple ways to take a few things off Mom’s plate. And for anyone who feels led and is able to contribute financially, those gifts will go toward helping with their household and healthcare expenses while Pops is unable to work.

But truly — a prayer, a card, a text, a meal, a funny story, a phone call, or simply reminding Pops that he’s loved means more than you know.

Cancer may have changed what life looks like right now, but it hasn’t changed who Pops is or how fiercely he is loved.

We are taking this one day at a time, surrounding Pops and Mom with as much love, faith, laughter, and support as we possibly can.

Thank you for loving our family, praying for our Pops, and helping us remind both of them that they do not have to walk this road alone.
