We Need Our Prayer Warriors for Pops 🙏
It’s been a really hard few days for our Pops.
Last Friday, his pain became so severe that we had to take him to the ER. They gave him IV Dilaudid to try to get his pain under control and sent him home with some new medications, hoping we could get ahead of it.
Unfortunately, today things took another turn.
Pops has continued to decline and became extremely weak, was dry heaving, unable to eat or drink, and his pain became absolutely unbearable. He was too weak for us to safely get him into the car, so today he was taken by ambulance back to the hospital.
The hospital has decided to admit him. They just completed another CT scan, and right now we are waiting for the results and praying for some answers.
His oncologist has also suggested a celiac plexus block to try to help control the severe pain he is experiencing, because unfortunately nothing we have tried so far seems to be giving him the relief he desperately needs.
Right now, more than anything, we need our prayer warriors. 🙏
Please pray for Pops. Pray that they can get his pain under control. Pray that his body gets the hydration and strength it needs. Pray for good news from the CT scan. Pray for wisdom for his doctors and nurses as they decide what comes next. And please pray that he can finally get some comfort and rest.
Please also keep my Mom in your prayers. The financial toll of all of this continues to weigh incredibly heavy on her, especially with Pops unable to work. She is doing everything she can to hold it together while watching the man she loves go through something no one should ever have to endure.
For anyone who has helped our family financially, brought or sent food, checked in, prayed, shared this page, or simply wrapped our family in love thank you. We feel every bit of it.
And please know there is never an expectation to give financially. Your prayers truly mean more to us than you know.If you are able and feel led to help ease some of the financial burden on my Mom, we are incredibly grateful. But above everything else, tonight we are simply asking you to pray hard for our Pops.
We love this man beyond words, and we need an army around him right now.
Come on, Pops. Keep fighting. We are all right here fighting with you.
