In Support of Charlotte and kids
I am in need of help. I am behind on my rent and power. I was doing okay, and then work just completely stopped. I have several medical issues which include MS, Fibromyalgia, trigeminal neuralgia, severe arthritis in all my joints, and back problems, etc. I do work, but due to my medical issues, I can't do a regular 9 to 5 job. The last couple of regular jobs I had, I was let go because they said they couldn't work around my doctor's appointments and flare-ups. So, I contract with local property management companies for work doing cleaning and yard work because I can work around doctor's appointments and flare-ups of my MS and Fibromyalgia.
There have been no jobs since a little over halfway through November, and now the owner of my house is saying if he doesn't get his money basically now, he's going to start eviction proceedings. Once it's started, there's no way to save my house, and my power is about to be shut off. I was able to find a small job that I did today and paid enough on the power to keep it from being shut off today, but if I don't come up with the rest by next Tuesday, it will be shut off Wednesday.
I have been checking in everywhere daily for any work, but except for the one small one today, there has been nothing. I am completely humiliated having to ask anyone for anything. I have always been the person who took care of myself and everyone else, but I don't know what to do at this point. I have 3 kids, and I am doing everything I can to keep a roof over their heads, but if something doesn't happen basically now, they won't have a home anymore. If it was just me, I wouldn't be on here, but my kids deserve a home and basic necessities. If anyone can help me with anything, I would be more grateful than I could ever say. Our rent that is currently owing is $2750 and our past due on the power is $197
