The Old Trail wildfire took Mike and Brenda's home on August 1st, just days after Mike suffered a stroke while out to dinner with friends.

As Mike continues working toward regaining his strength, Brenda is now facing the overwhelming task of navigating both his medical recovery and the loss of their home.
They didn't just lose a house. They lost their belongings, keepsakes, daily routines, and the place they expected to return to when Mike was well enough to come home.

About Brenda (Ann) & Mike
Brenda and Mike moved to Spokane in 1976, with Mike earning his law degree at Gonzaga, working nights at a local hospital. Ann worked at a bank and soon found herself at the Spokane School District, where she worked for over 30 years, retiring not long ago to her in-house quilt shop... which has now been lost to the fire.
The both of them had and raised their three children in North Spokane, along with multiple dogs over the years, including their current dog Scrumpy.
