I really don’t know how to even put this heart break into words, but my mother Judy Moore and step dad Bob received the devastating news that they lost their home yesterday in the Aspen Acres fire. They have lived in this home for over 40 years, created beautiful art there, and poured creativity, love, and time into it that can never be measured or replaced. They had to evacuate quickly, leaving behind almost all of their personal belongings, memories, and comforts.
If you know Judy, you know she has a massive heart. She is the kind of person who is always checking in on everyone else, making sure those around her are safe, loved, and cared for. I would really love to care for her this time.
While they are currently safe in a temporary hotel, the road ahead is long. Once the dust settles, they will face the daunting task of finding a permanent place to live and starting entirely from scratch.
Those will go toward helping them buy daily essentials, toiletries, and replacement clothing, as well as providing a financial foundation as they begin the difficult process of rebuilding their lives.
Any contribution, no matter the size, will make a world of difference to them during this incredibly difficult time. Additionally, I will be collecting some things like clothes and other items from a few people to send as a care package. If you have anything you’d like to add, please reach out to me via private message and I will add it. If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing this post.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness, love, and support.
