Dear beloved Chorale family,
I am writing to inform you of my upcoming brain surgery to remove a tumor called a meningioma. It was discovered after I tripped off a curb and needed a brain scan after hitting my forehead. I then was taken over to the University hospital for an MRI where the image revealed a fairly large tumor which is pressing on my brain. (although I really haven’t had many symptoms except headaches.) Kathy and I talked about Chorale and I decided I really wanted to lead Carmina and play the beloved Brahms Requiem which I feel so fortunate to have done.

I however, do need to get the tumor out which I have named Ping. (as we were working on Turandot at the time:))

My surgery date is January 2nd and I will be in the hospital for some days.

Kathy and Alyssa have been so supportive and lovely about all of this and I am so very grateful to have the Chorale in my life.

I will be taking some time off as the healing process will take time and is different for everyone. Your healing thoughts and prayers mean everything to me and the Chorale office will keep you informed of my journey. Love and blessings to all of you.
