I'm reaching out to share what happened with us. One night, a fire started in our bathroom fan while my four kids and I were asleep. We woke up to a room full of smoke. Thankfully, we got up just in time, and everyone is okay. However, the fire has left us with no choice but to evacuate our home, and it's been two weeks since then. We're staying in a hotel, but I won't have the funds to continue after Sunday. On top of that, we didn't receive our SNAP benefits for October, making it tough to get food. My disability limits my work to just a few hours per week at a low wage, and it's hard to make ends meet.
