On August 1st, 2026, while bravely fighting the Spokane area fires with Stevens County Fire District 1, AJ's home in the Indian Trail neighborhood was tragically destroyed by the Old Trails Fire. Even knowing her own home was at risk, Firefighter DeLeo stayed with her crews, helping save homes throughout the Suncrest community — a clear measure of her courage and dedication.
She serves our communities as a Firefighter/A-EMT with Stevens County FD1 and a Volunteer Firefighter/A-EMT with Spokane County FD9.
Now it's our turn to show up for her, as she and her family work to rebuild their lives. Every dollar raised goes directly toward helping AJ and her family rebuild their home and meet their most immediate needs. Here’s how you can help:
