If you know me, you know I'm usually the one promoting everyone else's business, making birthday cakes, designing websites, creating content, cheering people on, and finding ways to help my community.
Asking for help has never come easily to me.
Over the last several months, my health has changed dramatically. What started as back pain has progressed to severe pain that affects nearly every part of my daily life. Walking, standing, sitting, sleeping—even simple tasks have become difficult. I've had to rely on a mobility cart just to get through stores, and there are days when the pain is overwhelming.
After months of appointments, MRIs, specialists, medications, and countless unanswered questions, my spine surgeon has finally agreed on an L4-L5 spinal fusion. My surgery is expected to take place in early July, pending final medical clearance and insurance approval.
While I'm hopeful, this journey has come with mounting medical expenses, lost income, and the reality that recovery will temporarily limit my ability to work.
