Day 6 Post-Op Update 💜
For the first time in a long time... I finally feel like I can see the light at the end of the tunnel.
The pain in my legs is almost completely gone. Even more incredible... I can feel my bladder again. I never realized how much I'd celebrate something so simple, but here we are.
The surgery pain is still there, but I can tell it's slowly getting better because I'm finally sleeping more. "Sleeping" is a generous word though. 😅 Between not being allowed to twist, trying to find a comfortable position, and wearing my brace basically 24/7 (because honestly, it makes me feel so much safer), comfort is still a work in progress.
My neck is ridiculously stiff now, which I'm guessing is from sleeping like a statue. One thing heals while another complains. 😂
Recovery isn't easy, and I know I still have a long road ahead, but today I can honestly say...
I think surgery was the right choice.
Thank you to everyone who's checked in, sent messages, prayed, or just followed along. Every little bit of encouragement means more than you know. 💜
