Our beloved Otis passed away yesterday, June 19, 2026.
We are all so very grateful for the outpouring of love and support which has been a true lifeline for Lisa and their family. Words are inadequate.
Now the challenge of navigating the funeral and burial arrangements. A very expensive undertaking and I hope a few more kind souls will help with any small amount to lessen the burden on Lisa who has been caring for Otis 24/7 for several weeks and unable to work. Thank you so very much.
Otis knew how very much we loved him and vice versa. We cherish the time we had and will miss him always.

Life is short.  Don't miss an opportunity to tell someone you love them, forgive them if they've wronged you, choose to be kind.

June 9th, 2026

As many of you know, my brother-in-law, Otis, has been courageously battling Stage 4 cancer for some time. Throughout this journey, he and my sister, Lisa, have continued doing everything they can to keep life as normal as possible for their family and their three children.

For years, they have worked side by side running their family business, with Lisa serving as a licensed massage therapist and Otis managing the day-to-day operations. Unfortunately, repeated hospital stays and treatments have forced them to cut their only source of income again and again, creating tremendous financial strain on top of the emotional weight they are already carrying.

Otis is currently back in the hospital, and while I have always admired Lisa’s strength and selflessness, I know that asking for help is not something that comes easily to her. So I’m asking on their behalf.

During this incredibly difficult season, any support, whether through donations, meals, prayers, or simply sharing this page, will make a meaningful difference for their family. Every act of kindness helps ease the burden and allows them to focus on what matters most: Otis’s health and their children.

Thank you for taking the time to read their story and for keeping them in your thoughts. Your generosity, encouragement, and willingness to share are deeply appreciated. No contribution is too small, and every bit of support means more than words can express.
