Sutton Elizabeth Marquis (3 lbs. 10 oz., 16 inches long) made her surprise arrival on the morning of July 27, 2026. It seems she decided she was tired of waiting to meet everyone and wanted to enter the world on her own terms!
While her early arrival has brought so much joy, it has also come with some challenges. Because Sutton was born prematurely, her little body is still developing, and she needs some extra help with eating and breathing. She was transferred to the NICU at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, where she is expected to remain until at least 36 weeks gestation, though her stay could extend closer to her original due date.
As Mason and Natalee navigate this unexpected season, they are balancing life with a toddler at home while making daily trips to visit their newborn daughter in the NICU, an hour away from home. This registry and donation page was created to give family and friends an opportunity to help ease some of the stress and financial burden they are facing.
One practical way to support them is through gift cards for gas and meals while they travel back and forth to be with Sutton. Monetary donations are also greatly appreciated and will allow them the flexibility to use the funds wherever they are needed most during this time.
If you are willing and able, please consider blessing their little family in one of these ways.
Whether or not you are able to donate, we would love for you to leave messages of encouragement and support on this page; but most importantly, we ask that you join us in prayer. Please pray for Sutton's continued growth and development, for a smooth NICU journey with few complications, for peace, strength, rest, and understanding for Mason and Natalee, and for comfort and contentment for big sister Sloan as she adjusts to a "new routine" and having her parents away from home.
We know God has a beautiful plan for little Sutton. Even in the midst of difficult circumstances, He continues to show His grace, mercy, faithfulness, and love. We trust that He will carry Sutton and her family through this journey, one day at a time.
Thank you so much in advance for your love, support, and prayers for Mason, Natalee and their precious girls as they navigate these uncharted waters.
Psalm 139:13-14: "For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made."ย
Isaiah 41:10: "So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."ย
