Jason was diagnosed with stage IV cholangiocarcinoma in April 2025. He died July 24, 2026, leaving behind his wife, Emily, and two young children. Emily is reducing her work schedule to part-time to be more available as a mother in the wake of this loss. Donations to the Gropp family will be used to help cover expenses for childcare, children's grief therapy, and funeral costs.Β
