So many of you have asked how you can help — and honestly, it’s the little things that make the biggest difference right now. Whether it’s a meal train, a food or gift card, or just something to brighten his day, every bit of kindness helps lighten the load.
Silas has always been our music-loving, beanie-wearing foodie — and if you know him, you know how much he lights up over a Jamba Juice smoothie or a good milkshake. Seeing him smile through the hard days keeps us going.
You can 'Follow' Updates to stay informed about Silas's journey. Thank you for wrapping our family in love and helping us find moments of joy in the middle of this fight.
Update: 3/19/26
We are so incredibly grateful to @LiveFree for their generosity in purchasing an annual membership pass to the @montereybayaquarium for Silas.
He had such an amazing, relaxing time and truly, that’s all we could ask for. He took so many pictures and videos, soaking in every moment.
March has been such a beautiful month for him. He’s been able to spend time with friends from school, get out and about, visit with family, and most importantly… feel like himself again.
Looking ahead, April and May will be more challenging. Silas will be in the hospital every other week for scheduled chemotherapy, with stays lasting 3–4 days at a time. So right now, we are holding onto and appreciating every single moment like this.
He will get another much-needed break from chemo in June when he repeats this current phase, and we are all looking forward to that.
