Hey y'all! As many of you know, I suffer from an autoimmune disease called ankylosing spondylitis. It's an inflammatory disease of the spine that will eventually lead to my spine being fused completely. Since 2015, I have had several back surgeries. I'm in more pain now than before.
Julie, my rock through everything, has developed autonomic dysfunction. This means her nervous system doesn't work properly, affecting her blood pressure and heart rate. While pregnant with Chloe, her heart had to be stopped and restarted due to an unstable rhythm, and she now has a pacemaker. Over the years, she has developed congestive heart failure, and treatments for one condition negatively impact the other. After losing her job, we hoped she would get either a new job or disability, but she is now too sick to work, and I fear losing my best friend.
We are in financial crisis, struggling to pay bills and put food on the table after losing Julieโs income and insurance. I am a proud man who hates asking for help, but we are desperate and donโt know where to turn. Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated.
