The Bacchus Family
Hi everyone, thanks for being here.
This Support Registry is how we're rallying help for my family (Matt, Julie, Reilley, and Chloe). Instead of just asking for money, it lets you see exactly what's needed (meals, specific bills, supplies) and pitch in where it feels right.
Here's what's going on:Myback surgery did not fix the pain once the tumor was removed. I had an epiduraldone with minimal relief. Pain management placed me on 3 weeks of high dose oral prednisone to taper down; if that is not helpful, they will try a T2 and T3 intercostal nerve block where they inject a numbing agent around the nerve up under the ribs. If that doesnt help, they want to do a spinal cord stimulator trial. Spinal fusion surgery at t2-t3 might also be in the future and would require my spine being fused from t1to t4 to stabilize the vertebrae. So, I am really down for the count right now. On top of my health, Julie is having a very hard time with the autonomic failure and congestive heart failure. She was fired from her job in November and applied for social security disability. She is absolutely unable to work. Her vision is getting worse, she is blind in her right eye without corrective lens and even with them she still has a hard time reading because everything gets blurry. We have been to the eye doctor several times and spent a small fortune trying to get contacts that were strong enough to help. Her specialist for the autonomic failure has basically said there is not much more that can be done to help. They finally sent in an order where she can go to the infusion clinic and get a bag of fluids when her blood pressure gets low due to dehydration and or malnourishment due to the gasteroperisis. So we are truly struggling with everything right now. I know God will get us through this with everyone's help. We are truly blessed to have friends and family like all of you.
Every gift, big or small, makes a real difference. If you can't give, sharing the registry with someone who might helps just as much. Thank you for standing with us.
