Our dear friend Shawna was recently diagnosed with B-cell lymphoma, and her doctors have already confirmed it is stage four. She began chemotherapy on December 11, and as the new year approaches, she will likely be starting radiation therapy in addition to chemo. This has all happened so quickly, and the road ahead will be incredibly difficult for her and her family.
Shawna is a loving wife and mom of two boys—one in elementary school and one in middle school. Both boys are active in sports, with practices that are often far from home, adding another layer of stress during this challenging time. The Adolf family is deeply respected in our community for their kindness, generosity, and the way they consistently show up for others. They own their own business and work closely together, in addition to Shawna’s other job. As Shawna begins treatment, her husband Byron will be limited on work to support her through every appointment and every round of treatment. This means a sudden and significant loss of income during an already overwhelming season.
With an intense medical journey ahead, the last thing we want the Adolf family to worry about is finances. Our hope is to lift as much of that burden as possible so Shawna can focus solely on healing and spending meaningful time with her family.
The Adolf family would never ask for help themselves, which is why we are coming together on their behalf. Any support—whether through a donation, a meal, or keeping them in your prayers—is appreciated more than words can express.
Thank you for helping surround this wonderful family with love, strength, and support during one of the hardest seasons of their lives.
