My name is Alyx, I live in California and met Tahani 2 years ago online. She is the sweetest, kindest person, and she is enduring the most miserable conditions with her family. They have lost everything. Please take a moment to read her story below, and please share & donate if you are able.

Even a small donation goes a long way!
  • $5 covers ice & phone/light charging for the day

  • $28 covers approx. one day of food

  • $6/day is enough to cover rent (about $150/month)

  • Tahani's sister's glasses just broke (as of 18 july) and cost to repair is about $150

At minimum, they need $500/month. That's excluding the cost of medications - but that's just 50 people donating $10! So really, every bit makes a huge difference in this family's life.
Small bags of ice is the only relief from the summer heat, and they have to cook outside with a wood fire. If we can get enough donations for them, they can buy propane, which isn't as miserably hot to be around. Ever cooked on a campfire in 100 degree heat? They have to do that every day.
I'm hoping we can reach our goal ampunt by the end of the year so that Tahani & her family can afford winter supplies (the rainy season in a tent with holes in it is a bad time!!)

The world is a cruel & harsh place, but there are compassionate & generous people like Tahani out there who are suffering needlessly due to war, and we need to do whatever we can to help them to make the world a better place. Thank you for your time πŸ™

My name is Tahani, I am 28 years old, and I have spent almost three years of them in this harsh war living with my family of eight: my parents and my sisters.
We have suffered displacement since the first day of this war, and now we are homeless after our house was completely destroyed more than a year ago.Β
We endured harsh conditions of displacement, fear, forced relocation, and the threat of death, moving from place to place in search of shelter. Now, the tent, which offers no protection from the cold or heat, is our only harsh refuge, but there is no alternative.Β
We were forced to live through long months of severe famine, which greatly affected us, due to Israel preventing food and water from entering our country. Β
However, due to some international pressure, Israel allowed the entry of food of all kinds, but at high prices.

My family and I need donations for:
*Donations primarily help us pay the rent for the land where we set up our tent. (~$150)
*So that we can buy food and water on a daily basis ($200/week)
*We need money to cover our medical needs, such as medications and injections, especially since we are exposed to pollution from contaminated drinking water or harmful insects that cause skin allergies, irritating itching, and other symptoms
*Donations help us primarily to buy ice-cold water, as it's the only way to alleviate the heat here.
*Donations help us charge phones and the battery that powers a very small light bulb in the tent. ($5/day)
Donations help us buy cleaning supplies so we can keep the place we are displaced to clean.Β
*Donations help us buy clothes and shoes, especially since we couldn't take any of our belongings from our home before it was destroyed because we were forced to evacuate immediately.
*Money, both here and in war, is a basic necessity; we cannot take a single step without it.
