In September 2024, our 9 year old daughter Aliza Hope was hospitalized for what we thought was just pneumonia. Over the course of her stay, the doctors uncovered a cancer diagnosis that turned our lives upside-down. She was diagnosed with B-Cell ALL, a form of Leukemia. 

As we are walking out Aliza's road to recovery, many of you have reached out asking how you can support the Stern family (us) during the road ahead. While we are not seeking help for medical bills, there are several practical needs that could provide help/relief. 

Any funds raised will go towards general expenses that will allow our family to stay connected, focused on healing, and be able to care for each other.  This includes things like gas for frequent trips to the hospital (ranging from 30 minutes to 2 hours each way, thanks to Atlanta traffic), grocery delivery services, mental and physical health support, and practical services such as house cleaning and additional childcare. Our family is also investing in air purifiers and other safety measures to make the home more comfortable and supportive for Aliza as she heals.

We recognize this is not just a few-month ordeal, but rather a 2-3 year journey, and any support you can provide will help make this time a little bit easier. Your generosity will make a real difference as we walk through this season together.
