In Support of Romeo

Romeo
Hello family and friends, thank you for being here.
My husband, Romeo Perez, was intentionally hit by a car in a terrible antisemitic hate crime because he is Jewish. Romeo always shows pride in his Jewish heritage, which comes from his Sephardic roots in Guatemala and his Ashkenazi lineage. On July 14th, while wearing his Star of David and tzitzit, Romeo was targeted in a violent act. The attack left him with severe injuries to his spine, pelvis, and tailbone, which has made him unable to work. We are facing big challenges with medical bills, therapy, and needed changes to our home to help Romeo recover.
Even as he deals with physical and emotional pain, Romeo’s spirit is strong. He is determined to heal and be there for our family. We are also fighting for justice, holding the driver accountable. It’s a reminder that hate must not win. We need your support to stand with Romeo.
