Hello friends, I have wonderful news to share with you.
It’s time for some vulnerability on the internet. After months of working towards it (and many more of ideation beforehand), I’ve secured a date for my FFS—next month. It’s sooner than expected, but I am taking this as a blessing: Tuesday, July 28.
FFS, facial feminization surgery, is the next step for me in this long journey of life. I’ve spent months working towards this and even longer dreaming of it—I’m not ashamed to be honest about what I want and need anymore.
I’ll have some weeks of focused recovery, unable to work, unable cook for myself, or really focus on much else beyond rest. It’s for this time that I am asking for some help, as I know the best way through this all is with my friends and loved ones supporting me.
If you’re able to support me with funds, a home-cooked meal, a scheduled walk--anything really during this time--I would be immensely grateful.
The funds are to help pay for what my insurance doesn't cover, what I'll need for pre- and post-surgery, and for compensating those on my care team aiding me in this process.
I'll be updating this as I better understand my needs and capacity throughout recovery.
