Thank you - 3 weeks post-op

Hi everyone, thanks for being here.
I realized I never updated this registry, and thought I would send an update 3 weeks post-op. My surgery went well, with no complications. I've had a lovely set of friends by my side, at the hospital and supporting me at home, without whom I'm really not sure where I would be.
A special shout-out to Patrick for being there with me every step of the way at the hospital: he came to NYC to help me prep the day before, accompanied me to the hospital, and stayed with me throughout the night and helped me through a panic in the wee hours. I'm so grateful to have had Patrick there with me!
The following weeks, I've had a series of visitors to help with tasks around the house, with caring for me, with entertaining me amid the dull of recovery. Lu was my number one caretaker, David came to help wash my hair, Nic provided a juicer and so many delicious juices to keep my nutrition up during my liquid-only diet, Sheldon and Reza and Jasmin keeping me company with food or ice cream or movies.
My eternal gratitude to these friends, and to all of you for contributing your funds or support in all ways. While of course a physical journey, this has been so much more an emotional one too. I've had many highs and lows, dreams and doubts, but I'm so excited to be so far along on this journey.
I still have a bit less than two weeks of recovery time away from work, and I'll be without a paycheck in that time. The funds raised here will support my rent for next month, and the bills that have come and will arrive. Again, I thank you for your support with this as I couldn't do it without you all!
