In Support of Nick's Recovery

Nick was born with HLHS in 2009.  For those that don't know what this is, basically it's a heart condition that led Nick to needing a heart transplant at 14 years old preceded with 3 heart surgeries by the time he was 3.  Right after Nicks transplant he suffered an anoxic brain injury.

This has left Nick needing to overcome many physical challenges.

However, Nick is a fighter and we are looking to get him several different intensive therapies.  Unfortunately some of them do not take insurance, but it doesn't decrease Nicks need for this treatment.

We are asking our community to come together to help Nick get there!  Robin (mom) will be posting updates about Nicks Journey here.  Please help us by following along and sharing this registry with others.

Nick has been doing much better since his last hospitalization!  He smiles a lot and is so much happier!  Next week we are planning to actually go to Therapy Talk in Concord to get fitted for orthotics.  He had scoliosis before, but now it is a lot worse due to having to lay in bed so much!  Hoping this will help tremendously.  We have been having his therapy here at home, but I think we may try it at the Therapy center next week.  They have more equipment to work with there.  On July 7th., he will start his intense therapy in Charlotte for 3 hours a day for 3 weeks.  Insurance don't pay for it, so we will be paying for this out of pocket. I will do anything I can to help him.  His neurologist finally started weaning some of his meds last week.  He already seems way more alert!  Thank you for all of the prayers for him and for the support for his therapy!  We love you all so much!
