Morghan is a bright, sassy, and sweet 7-year-old whose world has recently changed in ways no family ever prepares for. Earlier this year she was diagnosed with acute respiratory failure, and her medical team is now preparing her for the possibility of a lung transplant.
She loves playing sports and lights up whenever she’s cheering for her local football team. That spark is still there — even on her hardest days.
Since June, Morghan’s health began to decline, leading to multiple hospital stays. She is currently at Shands UF Health in Gainesville, Florida, where she’s receiving the care she needs.
So many people have reached out asking how they can support Morghan and her family. As you can imagine, Mom and Dad have not left her side, and their other children are back in Georgia being cared for by grandparents.
When a child is fighting something this serious, all a parent can think about is their child — nothing else. Daily life, work, and responsibilities back home fall away, even though those pressures don’t disappear. Being out of state has created a real strain on the family, but this is exactly where any parent should be when their child is in the hospital.
This page will be where the family shares updates, needs, and ways to offer support. Updates will be posted regularly by both parents.
As a community, let’s rally around this family so they can stay focused on what matters most — being together.
Please share far and wide so others can be encouraged by Morghan’s strength, resilience, and journey, and so they can continue to lift the family in prayer.
