Unfortunately, hardship is something none of us wishes to face, and it can come when we may not be ready to bear its weight when it can appear without warning. Sadly…and quite embarrassingly...I’ve found myself struggling with what hardship can mean, even when one has lived a life of careful planning and, above all, caring for and helping others deal with their own hardships.
For some time, I've suffered extreme financial distress, and I recently underwent a major spinal surgery which is barring me from even pursuing work, until my recovery allows.
Now, I'm scheduled for a major hip reconstruture, after my left hip having repeatedly failed over the last weeks, causing multiple dislocations and excruciating emergency trips to the ER for its resetting.
So, though not something I'm proud to do, I must put pride and self-esteem aside and ask for help during my recovery, and I really appreciate any and all contributions, which will relieve much of the distress and aid in a stronger recovery from these surgeries.
