Welcome to the World, Mason James Mast π
We are so blessed to have our sweet Mason James Mast here earth side! He made his way into the world on Sunday night and has been such a resilient baby boy.
As most of you know, he is still in the NICU to be closely monitored, but we continue to get positive updates trending in the right direction. We are so grateful to God for every one of them, and we ask for continued prayers of healing and recovery over this beautiful baby boy.
We also ask for prayers for mom and dad as they navigate a reality they never imagined. Makayla was a true warrior through birth, and Jacob has been right by her side, so supportive every step of the way. They have since been discharged, but they continue to go up to the hospital to see Mason as much as the care team will allow.
We are so appreciative of everyone reaching out to ask for updates and how they can help. Mason has an entire village behind him, and they feel that love more than you know.
How to Stay Updated:
We'll be using this page as the main source for updates and will share news as we hear it. To keep mom and dad's plate as light as possible right now, please text or call their parents or me directly with any questions rather than reaching out individually β this lets Jacob and Makayla focus on being with Mason and getting the rest they need.
Right now, the best thing you can do is hold Mason in the most positive light and keep him in your prayers.

How to Help:
- DoorDash & Instacart: These got me through postpartum, so we've set both up for Jacob and Makayla - a gift card is a thoughtful way to let them know you are thinking of them! Ordering out is easy, but they also love to cook so Instacart will be helpful on the days they are craving a favorite recipe and looking for some normalcy.Β
- Home-Cooked Meals: Jacob and Makayla are in and out of the hospital multiple times a day right now, so it's hard to predict when they'll be home. If a home-cooked meal is your love language, please just coordinate with one of their parents beforehand so we can make sure it lands at a good time.
