Lindsey and Jason need our help.

They are parents to two medically compromised children, as well as foster parents. They are the kind of people who show up for others again and again. Always the first to help, give, and support. And now, they are the ones who need their village.

Their family is currently walking through an unexpected and overwhelming situation involving both their home and their health.

After months of unexplained illness, they discovered mold throughout every exterior wall of their new home… and it has impacted all of them.

Baby Cruz has been affected the most. He has endured daily vomiting, signs of constant headaches, pneumonia, frequent respiratory infections, and a significant increase in seizures. They have gone through countless doctor visits, testing, procedures, medications, and even emergency situations trying to get him the help he needs.

Lindsey has also been dealing with ongoing symptoms, including severe brain fog, extreme fatigue, recurring sinus and respiratory infections, constant headaches, and jaw and ear pain… leading to multiple doctor visits, lab work, and even a brain MRI.

While Jason and Christian have experienced some symptoms, due to a genetic factor, Cruz and Lindsey have been impacted the most.

Looking back, so many of the treatments, doctor visits, and tests were done before they knew mold was likely the root cause. They were simply doing everything they could to find answers and help their family.

Because of the severity of the mold, they have had to leave their home with their boys and their foster child, and begin the long and exhausting process of remediation.

To make matters even more difficult, their insurance has denied their claim, leaving them to carry these costs on their own. They have also struggled to find an attorney willing to take their case without a $25,000 retainer.

What they’ve already spent:
• Temporary housing and expenses: $3,500
• Remediation supplies/equipment: approx $1,000
• Building materials: approx $2,000
• Whole Home HVAC Filtration system: $2,500
• Lost income from missed work: $1,000+

Expected costs to finish work:
• Additional materials: approx $4,000+
• Continued lost income: unknown

Estimated healing costs (family of 4):
• Functional medicine initial consults: $1,200
• Mycotoxin testing: $1,600
• Supplements (6 months): $6,000+

They are doing everything they can to restore their home so their children can be back where they feel safe and to get their family healthy. But this has become more than they can carry on their own.

They need help. They need their village.

If you feel led to support, share, or pray for Lindsey, Jason, and their family, it would mean more than words can express. Every bit truly helps lighten the load during this incredibly difficult time.
