Support for Jonathan Agin: A Call to Our Village

This Support Registry was created to make it easier for those who want to stand beside Jonathan Agin as he faces the fight of his life.

On May 16th, Jonathan was rushed to the Northside Hospital ER after several days of feeling unwell. Bloodwork revealed dangerously high white blood cell counts, critically low platelets and a CT revealed a brain bleed. He was immediately admitted to the ICU, where he received a life-altering diagnosis: Acute Promyelocytic Leukemia (APL) — a rare, aggressive form of Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML).

While APL is serious, there is hope. It is the most curable form of adult leukemia when diagnosed and treated early. Jonathan now faces a long and intensive journey: 1-3 more weeks in the hospital, followed by eight months of outpatient treatment.

Through it all, Jonathan’s strength and spirit remain unshaken. He is surrounded by the unwavering love of his wife, Alli, his daughter, Darrah, and an incredible network of family and friends.

Many of you have asked how you can help, and your kindness means the world. In light of the months ahead, filled with medical treatment, time away from work, and the need for extra care at home, this Support Registry was created to offer a centralized way to provide assistance.

Your support will help with:
  • Medical expenses not covered by insurance

  • Increased household and daily living costs during treatment

  • Caregiving and emotional support for Alli and Darrah

  • Resources to aid in Jonathan’s long-term recovery

Jonathan has always shown up for others. Now we have the chance to show up for him.
