In Support of Joe Roberts and his ALS fight

Joe Roberts and his ALS fight
Hello, dear family and friends. We are reaching out to share some challenging news and the journey that lies ahead for Joey and our family. Joey was unexpectedly diagnosed with ALS in March 2026, after initial symptoms began in October 2025. This was confirmed in May, and our world has turned upside down since then. The diagnosis has put a lot of uncertainty in our lives, especially since Joey carries the C9orf72 gene, meaning two of our kids face a 50% risk of developing ALS or frontotemporal dementia in the future. We're doing our best to handle waves of fear and mounting expenses. Joey's ability to work is still there for now, but things are getting harder, and we know our family income will likely drop to one salary eventually. We hope to keep our home safe and stable for Joey and our kids, even as the financial strain becomes a reality. Your support can make a big difference in helping with home modifications for accessibility, paying off medical bills, and managing daily family expenses. As we fight this battle, knowing Joey will one day have to stop working, we want to be sure we are ready to handle what comes our way. We need continued support for doctor visits, medications, groceries, and more. We are grateful for any help you can offerβ€”it truly helps us stand tall during these tough times.Β
