Jeanene & her boys
Help Save Their Home

This is Jeanene and her boys, Jacob and Liam. Jeanene is the mother of 5 kids, 3 of whom are grown and out of the house, but two are still at home. Two years ago, the kids Dad took off without warning, taking all the money with him, as he chased a 20 year old, leaving her with three kids at home, all the debt, and all the responsibility. He even took her car. Since then, one of the kids graduated high school and started college and is living in the dorms, but she still has two at home and both are in bad health.

Problem is, Jeanene has been a stay at home mom since Jacob was born because he has a lot of organ malformations that are "not compatible with life", and wasn't supposed to live a day, let alone so many years. That's how they ended up in this area though, because when he was about 3 months old, doctors in the south gave up on him, and she hunted down the best of the best and convinced him to to give her baby a shot at life and he agreed to try, so she packed up the family and moved them here since the doctor was right across the river in STL. Great plan because even though Jacob is still terminal, he is still alive! She calls him her miracle.
But Jacob needed full time care as a baby and even though she made a lot more money, her ex (his dad) said he wouldn't quit his job because he wanted her to abort when they found out Jacob wasn't perfect at the 20 week ultrasound, and when she refused, he turned his back on her and his kids. Just took him until 2024 to actually leave. He didn't want to "grow attached to a kid that was going to die", was the reason he has given.

Liam, is her youngest, and was born perfectly healthy, but at just over a year old, was diagnosed as a type1 diabetic, and when he was diagnosed a test showed he also had to much fluid on the brain and needed brain surgery. Then, before he was 2, he diagnosed as a brittle diabetic, which she describes as type 1 diabetes, but MMA style steroids. She calls him her unicorn because being a diagnosed high/low brittle diabetic is super rare.

Divorce was started in 2024, but he is hiding his financials and keeps moving and not saying where he is living. So they aren't even legally seperated yet because there isn't any child support or alimony set. So for two years this mom has been doing everything she can to keep afloat. She makes crochet patterns, as well as sells crafts, she sells baked goods (she is a REALLY good cook), She babysits, and has sold anything of value she has and somehow, she stayed on top of everything! Boys didn't go without and all bills were paid, until earlier this year when her ex decided that, even though he had two kids who he'd pretty much be signing death warrants for, he cut their insurance from a family plan to an individual.

March 1, 2026 was the first time she couldn't pay the mortgage. It took her to the end of April to get the boys on Medicaid because the insurance # still existed when it was run, (because he still had insurance), they just weren't on it anymore and she had to convince a social worker to at least give her boys coverage.
By the time she got it though, it was to late. She was behind in EVERY BILL. From then until now, she has caught up everything else but the mortgage, and she just told me, that she has accepted the fact that they are going to lose the house, which just breaks my heart.
She has made her hands bleed, gone without food, stayed up all night to finish a project someone had commissioned just so she could get food, medicine and medical supplies to keep her kids alive.
And now she is going to lose her house, which is the only home the boys have ever known...it's just not right.
So, I'm trying to help her save her home. Because if anyone deserves a break in life, it's this woman.
