In Support of Isla's Care

As many of you know, Isla was diagnosed with cerebral palsy two years ago. Since then, she’s been working incredibly hard in her therapies. We’ve seen such amazing progress (primarily in the month-long intensive treatments) to strengthen her muscles, improve her motor skills, and help her learn to walk and move more independently. Watching her determination and joy through this process has been absolutely inspiring.

Unfortunately, with the recent federal changes to health coverage, Isla’s insurance will no longer include these intensive therapy sessions, which are essential to her progress and skills. Without coverage, the financial burden of these sessions is overwhelming. Each intensive therapy session costs approximately $9,600, and Isla completes 3 to 4 of these per year, in addition to her ongoing weekly therapy sessions and related care expenses.

Besides applying for grants, we are reaching out to our close friends and family to help us continue providing Isla with the care she needs. Every hour of therapy counts for Isla at this critical age. We appreciate any and all support; it means so much to our family. Go Team Isla! πŸ’•

Love seeing her smiling face and determined concentration on her face.

This Gramma has heard Isla say in very challenging physical situations, β€œI am strong. I can do hard things.” This, from the mouth of a 3-year old! She is my greatest inspiration.
