On March 7, Ileisha received the devastating news that she has breast cancer. The good news is that Ileisha is being cared for by a leading team of doctors at Stanford. 

Unfortunately, Ileisha's cancer has some markers that make it more aggressive, and her treatment plan is equally aggressive. Ileisha will be beginning 5 months of chemotherapy next week, starting with getting a port placed on April 3. After chemo, Ileisha will have surgery and radiation. 

There is still a lot we do not know, including if the cancer has spread. We will update this registry periodically with updates, new prayer requests, and new ways you can help. 

Ileisha is one of the strongest women I've ever met - she is a single mom to two beautiful girls, Odyssey (13) and Chloe (12). In true Ileisha fashion her number one feeling right now is annoyance at how inconvenient cancer is! And it is - cancer sucks. The goal of this registry is to walk along side Ileisha and her girls, and make it suck as little as possible. 

Ileisha's treatment is, unfortunately, in Stanford. This means there will be a lot of costs to get Ileisha to and from Stanford (gas, hotels, etc.). We'd also like to make as easy as possible for Ileisha and the girls, including supporting them with groceries and house cleaning. Because of the intensity of Ileisha's treatment and its impact to her immune system, we are asking that people do not visit and drop off meals and groceries outside of her house. We will have a cooler set up.
