In Support of Holiday Care Packages for NICU/PICU Families

For most families, December is a time of year filled with laughter, fun, and celebration. Unfortunately, some families will spend the holidays in the NICU/PICU at children's hospitals, hoping for the health of their little loved ones.
 
This holiday season, SupportNow is teaming up with colleagues, family members, and friends to deliver care packages for NICU/PICU families.
 
Join us as we provide cheer and support to parents and caregivers spending their holidays in hospitals. All funds raised will be used to provide care packages for families.
 
How many families will receive a care package?
We hope to serve as many families as possible. We are starting with the following children's hospitals:
 
Initial $9,000 Goal:
Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta - Scottish Rite (90 beds)
Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta – Egleston (90 beds)
 
Next Hospitals if Funds are Available:
- Northside Hospital
- Children’s Hospital of Georgia
- Emory Hospitals
 
If additional funds are provided, we will serve more families across more hospitals.
 
How much does a care package cost?
~$50
 
How will funds be spent?
100% of the funds provided will be used to purchase materials for care packages.
 
Funds raised will be public.
Receipts will be provided as proof of purchase.
 
What is in the care packages?
Final items are still being selected (with input from parents, hospital staff, and child life specialists). The spirit of each item will be practical and empathetic, considering the unique needs of families spending prolonged time in the hospital.
 
Items being discussed include:
- Extra-long charging cord
- Multi Prong adaptor
- Skincare Products
- Travel size toiletries
- Sleep mask
- Earplugs
- Hygiene wipes
- Adult Coloring Books, w/Colored Pencils
