Meet Baby Hannah — our brave 2-month-old fighter. At just two days old, it was discovered that Hannah experienced a brain injury called HIE (Hypoxic-Ischemic Encephalopathy) — a condition that occurs when the brain doesn’t get enough oxygen and blood flow. This went undetected for two days, leading to severe hypoglycemia, and further brain injury.
These kind of brain injuries can affect movement, learning, vision, and more — but we won’t know the full impact for months or even years.

As her parents, we dream of giving her the best possible chance — to see, run, play, write, and live a life full of joy. And right now, there’s a critical window to give her brain the best support possible.
We’re pursuing Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) with Dr. Harch in New Orleans, the world leader in this treatment. HBOT uses pressurized oxygen to help revive and heal brain tissue, encouraging recovery and developmental progress in children like Hannah.
To give Hannah this opportunity, we’re facing:
- $14,000 for HBOT treatment
- $5,000 for travel and accommodations
- $14,000 for a home hyperbaric chamber to continue healing after treatment
- $5,000 in lost wages as we take 1.5–2 months off work
That brings us to a total of $38,000 (roughly $53,000 CAD)— a major financial challenge, but one we’re willing to face for Hannah’s future. We hope to begin arrangements as soon as this week, so the urgency is real.
