Recently, Gretchen Unger suffered a spinal stroke, a rare and unexpected medical emergency that has partially paralyzed her right limbs, and left her facing a long road to recovery. What started as a normal day has quickly become a journey filled with hospital stays, medical treatments, and the reality of needing extensive rehabilitation to regain strength and independence.
If you know Gretchen, you know she is the kind of person who is always there to take care of othersβoffering a helping hand, a listening ear, or a kind word when it's needed most. Now, it's our turn to be there for her.
The coming months may include intensive therapy, ongoing medical care, specialized equipment, and long-term rehabilitation. While we are grateful for the progress being made and remain hopeful for the future, the financial challenges that come with a life-changing event like this are significant.
We're creating this fundraiser to help ease some of those burdens so that Gretchen and her family can focus on what matters most: healing and recovery. Every donation, no matter the amount, will go toward medical expenses, rehabilitation costs, and the support needed throughout this journey.
