​To all those who have known and loved Gary Smith,

​We are reaching out during a time of sudden and profound crisis for our family. During our trip to Las Vegas to celebrate his birthday, our dad suffered a massive stroke.

​He is currently in the Neuro ICU in a coma, fighting incredibly hard. Because of the severity of the stroke, he is unable to travel and will not be able to return home for the foreseeable future.

​As a family, our priority right now is making sure he is never alone. We are doing everything possible to remain by his side in the hospital, navigating this impossible reality day by day. However, being displaced so far from home has created immense unexpected financial and logistical pressure.

​We have set up this SupportNow page to help ease the burden as we focus entirely on Dad's recovery. All funds raised will go directly toward helping our family manage housing, meals, and travel costs for the upcoming months.

Any donation exceeding our goal will go directly to the cost of Dad's care.

​If you are able to contribute financially, please know that no amount is too small, and every single dollar gives our family the ability to stay right next to Dad when he needs us most.
