Emerson—our strong, determined, and joy-filled little girl—arrived at just 22 weeks and 6 days, weighing only 1lb 3oz. In her four years, she has faced more medical challenges than many experience in a lifetime: multiple brain surgeries, a 7.5-month NICU stay, epilepsy, hydrocephalus and a cerebral palsy diagnosis. And yet, through every obstacle, Emmie has continued to meet the world with fierce resilience and a radiant smile.

After months of research, conversations with other families, and careful consideration of several programs, we’ve made the decision to move forward with stem cell therapy to support Emerson’s brain healing and development. Her first treatment is scheduled for the end of January at Total Wellness in Arizona—an incredible clinic we feel confident and hopeful about. We chose this center because it allows us to remain in the United States, offers excellent medical care, and uses treatment protocols supported by promising outcomes in children with brain injuries.

Emmie will receive an autologous stem cell transfer, meaning her own stem cells will be collected and then reintroduced to her body, where they can help repair and regenerate damaged tissue in the brain. The potential for meaningful improvement in motor function, cognition, and overall quality of life is truly exciting—and we are filled with hope for what this could mean for her future. ❤️

To increase the effectiveness of the stem cell therapy, Emerson will also complete hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT), which helps the body produce and direct stem cells to areas that need healing. I’ll be in the chamber with her—so it will be quite an adventure for both of us! We will begin HBOT locally before traveling to Arizona and also do sessions here after as well.

Following her initial treatment, Emmie will return three months later for platelet-rich plasma therapy, which supports the activation of dormant stem cells. In addition, she has two upcoming DMI intensives scheduled: a three-week program in St. Louis in April, and another in Nashville at the end of summer. We are so grateful that these options exist—and so determined to give her every chance to thrive.

✨ Financial Overview
The stem cell treatment alone costs $7,500, not including travel or lodging. The two DMI intensives will total approximately $10,000. None of these expenses are covered by insurance, and the total cost adds up quickly.

We have set up a SupportNow registry to help make this journey possible. Donations will go directly toward Emerson’s treatments and travel needs. On SupportNow, you can also follow updates and share her story.🥰

We are endlessly grateful for your kindness, generosity, prayers, and shares. Truly—every act of support makes a difference and brings us closer to giving Emmie these life-changing opportunities.

Thank you for being part of this journey with us. 💖

Why SupportNow Instead of GoFundMe?

We chose SupportNow because it gives us a safe, private space to share updates, list specific needs, and receive more of each donation due to lower fees. It allows us to connect with our community in a deeper and more sustainable way—something that matters to us profoundly.
