When a cancer diagnosis impacts an entire family, the road ahead can feel overwhelming.
Ellie is courageously facing Stage 4 Neuroendocrine Cancer with metastasis to her liver. In the coming weeks, she will undergo a major surgery to remove the tumor from her pancreas, remove her spleen, and attempt to remove as many tumors from her liver as possible. While this surgery is a critical step in her treatment journey, it is only the beginning of a long road to recovery.
Doctors anticipate an initial recovery period of 6–8 weeks, followed by up to a year of healing and ongoing medical care. During this time, the physical, emotional, and financial challenges facing Ellie and her loved ones will be significant.
The costs associated with surgeries, treatments, copays, medications, travel, and time away from work can quickly become overwhelming. Beyond financial support, practical help such as meals, encouragement, prayers, and assistance with daily needs can make an incredible difference for the family.
