In Support of Dickie Halley

Family and Friends,

For those of you who know Dickie, you know he would give you the shirt off his back.. and probably come back the next day with three more shirts he found on sale that he thought you might like.

Dickie has always been one of the most generous, thoughtful people you could know. He is constantly thinking of others, whether that means lending a helping hand, showing up when someone needs him, or coming home from one of his beloved Bailey’s runs with a trunk full of things he picked up because they reminded him of the people he loves. He has spent his life taking care of the people around him, and now we’d love the opportunity to return some of that love.

Dickie is currently dealing with some serious health challenges and will be coming home to stay with his daughter Meg and her boyfriend, Shorty. Our biggest priority is keeping him happy, comfortable, and surrounded by the family and friends who love him.

We’re setting up this page as a way to show our love for Dickie while also making everyday life a little easier for Meg and Shorty as they care for him at home. With family and friends coming by to spend time with Dickie, the number of people around the house may look a little different from one day to the next. Rather than coordinating individual meals, we’re hoping to help keep the house stocked and take some of the day-to-day things off their plates. Restaurant and food delivery gift cards, grocery gift cards or deliveries, household essentials, Walgreens gift cards, and other practical contributions will all give Meg and Shorty the flexibility to get whatever they need, whenever they need it.

There is absolutely no gesture too small. A meal, a delivery, a gift card, a helping hand, or simply sending some love Dickie’s way all mean more than you know.
