Cole is 20 years old and lives every day with Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB) β a rare, painful skin condition that makes even the smallest tasks difficult. But Cole? Heβs a fighter. A true warrior who shows strength despite constant medical appointments, procedures, and daily pain.Β
Right now, the Garland family needs our help.Β
Cole now uses a new wheelchair that better supports his needs β but their current van canβt transport it. That means every outing involves lifting Cole in and out by hand and using a chair that isnβt safe or comfortable. Itβs exhausting and dangerous.Β
They need a wheelchair-accessible van with an internal lift or major modifications to their existing vehicle. These vans can cost $60,000 to $70,000, but the family plans to trade in their current van to help with the cost. Even with that, the gap is more than most families can manage alone.Β
This isnβt a luxury β itβs a lifeline.Β
They travel out of state for Coleβs care, and safe transportation is critical for his comfort, safety, and access to medical treatment.Β
