On November 2nd, our family’s world stopped. Our dad suffered a devastating fall that caused a traumatic brain injury, and shortly after, he was placed into a medically induced coma. For nearly five weeks, we lived moment to moment, praying, hoping, and fearing the unknown as he fought for his life.
Against incredible odds, he woke up.
His journey is far from over, but this past week he took another huge step forward by moving into a rehabilitation facility. Every small milestone has felt like a miracle. We are now holding onto the hope that he will soon be able to come home—something we once weren’t sure would ever be possible.
Home means everything to him. He is a devoted father and an incredibly proud grandfather who lives for time with his kids and grandkids. He misses the simple joys most of us take for granted—sitting in his own living room, laughing with family, and being greeted by his loyal dog, Pumpkin.
Our dad is also a beloved chef who has always gone above and beyond for others. His passion for cooking has never been just about food—it’s been about caring for people. He has spent his life showing up for his family and friends, serving his community, and feeding those experiencing homelessness. Through his generosity and kindness, he has touched countless lives, and now he needs that same love and support returned to him.
Before he can come home safely, we need to make important changes to his house to accommodate his new needs. These modifications are essential for his safety, comfort, and continued recovery, and the costs add up quickly.
We are humbly asking for help during this overwhelming time. Any donation—big or small—will help us bring him back to the place where he belongs: home, surrounded by love. If you are unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser and keeping our family in your thoughts and prayers means more than we can express.
Thank you for standing with us during the hardest season of our lives.
